Hello,

Shortly, all Conduit-based toolbars on the Mozilla Add-ons site (addons.mozilla.org) will be disabled, as Mozilla has determined that they are not appropriate for hosting on AMO.  Authors of existing add-ons will receive email notifications of the disabling, and future submissions of Conduit will be denied by our reviewers.

We apologize for any confusion this may cause, and appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Hey - we don't need you.

Many thanks for 'bending' towards a minority of people - people that kicked up a fuss because their own add-ons were dropping down the ratings because of our toolbars. Competition is healthy, but to deny us that competition will be your downfall.

the problem is that Internet Explorer Add-ons
not allow to upload conduit toolbar as well because the base on CNET and CNET not allow to upload conduit toolbar

This is a massage that I got from CNET

Hello ,

Our editors have made a decision to remove all Conduit-based toolbars from our library as providing little value to the end users. We are currently in the process of removal. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Important massage from CNET

Best regards,

Sasha

Sad, sad, saaaaaaaaaaaaad  Cry

We got notification from CNET's Upload.com that our toolbar was declined. This after it had been accepted once before only to my surprise to find that later the download had been taken away. Could there be maybe some underhanded collaboration on the part of two larger names like Yaheck something and ....(well I won't mention the other because their name has a connection with Conduit)?

For a brief moment we had experienced quite an interest of new downloads and users of our toolbar.

What if I were to say, program a "wrapper" for you guys, like a "System Optimizer" that conveniently "included" and installed your toolbar? You could then, theoretically, use it on upload.com and mozilla addons. The "System Optimizer" or whatever wrapper I program would be customizable, etc. I'm offering it free, so this isnt spam. How many would be for this idea? It'd help get you back in the game!

Me personally - no.

To offer a 'wrap around' is a good idea, but it wouldn't take too long to get into the same situation as we are now. Could you imagine the uproar if this 'wrap around' was posted everywhere?

I know I 'snapped at' Mike Shaver - this was because of the manner of his post and for bowing to those that have pressurised him. There were other options available, but 'they' decided to take the easy one. What Mozilla should have done is created a better vetting procedure for submissions.

I'll be the first to admit, there is an awful lot of toolbars out there that are, basically, crap. When I say crap, I'm not being disrespectful. Because my toolbar is orientated around my users, it is of no use to people elsewhere, thus it is crap - if you get my meaning.

Take for instance, the DIGG toolbar, now that's a different story.... I cater for a few hundred regulars, the DIGG toolbar will cater for a few million. Therefore, it is of more use to Mozilla and CNET.

Flooding their systems with crap will result in a backlash, such as that what we have been witnessing. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... people should concentrate on keeping their website users happy.
